We invite you to voluntary mitigate your CO2 footprint while hiking “El Camino de Costa Rica”
The world urgently needs a committe action to reduce carbon footprint : To limit global temperature rise, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions must peak before 2025 at the latest and decline by 43% by 2030. Companies and other non-state actors have a critical role to play in reducing and removing global emissions to ensure we achieve net-zero no later than 2050.
But 80% of the world’s energy supply still comes from fossil fuels, meaning there is an urgent need for businesses to decarbonize rapidly. Carbon footprint compensation consists of neutralizing the amount of CO2 emissions emitted by a person, company, organization, product, or service when an activity is carried out, by investing economically in an environmental project.
The Yarca´s Greenhouse Gas Mitigation project is aimed at those who are aware of their responsibility for climate change, and who voluntarily want to neutralize their CO2 emissions, offsetting them in clean projects in developing countries.
Your funding supports a carefully managed in our Cloud Forest Restauration Reserve that have strong additional benefits beyond reducing carbon emissions through the sequestration and absorption of CO2 by soils and forests, these include biodiversity research and watershed protection as well to generate local job sources.
